Twitter and Backlinks

Sure you can, provided your entire tweet (including the URL) is shorter than 140 characters.

 

twitter can't provide backlinks because twitter posting link is nofollow.. google crawler not provide back link to nofollow link..
but generate more traffic using twitter to ur website.. twitter is very good social networking website..

 

Twitter is just used for increasing traffic to your website. I prefer myspace for backlinks.

 

Your presence there is still valuable there though - put in the time for it regardless

 

Having more number of followers helps to increase traffic.One of the more obvious benefits of twittering is being able to keep up to date with relevant events as and when they occur.

 

I think we wont get any back links from twitter just we get the traffic.

 

Because Twitter links are NOFOLLOWed, they really don't give you any direct SEO benefits, at least with Google. But they do send traffic. And that traffic, if they like what they find on your site, might end up linking to you somewhere else on the web with a followed link. So ANY promotion (even with nofollowed links) can help provide indirect SEO benefits to a site.
