I have links in my GWT as well. I realize these are nofollow but how do we know that Google does not have a way to still put a value on nofollow links from high PR social sites such as Twitter and Facebook. Since these sites are the "wave of the future" in Google's eyes one would think they will continue to find ways to put link valuations on it. Maybe users will have to learn the proper ways to use Twitter in the eyes of Google but I would never dismiss these sites just because they are nofollow. Any site as powerful as Twitter with a PR9 has to be of use to web marketers. I just hope that we learn more on how best to use it in the near future.
I had no idea that the links on twitter and facebook are nofollow, but tell me one thing if these links are nofollow then how they are coming in SERP of Google, only just because of high PR value.
Google has the new live search going on now, you can see it sometimes when you are searching a trending topic. It shows posts from twitter/blogs, etc. that have just been made so you can use it for this, but for general backlinks, I would not think it very useful.
I think Twitter is help to increase traffic and PR website ..... and also doing promotion as well .... twitter is popular website for best social networking .. Thanks for shared this
