Hi all We are a touring UK based rock band. The person who used to manage our Twitter account has had a falling out with us and is now using our Twitter account to promote our competition. Legally I guess this amounts to her trying to damage our revenue by promoting the competition to (what was) our followers. Can anyone advise on a course of action? PS contacting this individual won't work as they are doing whatever they can to damage our brand. Regards John
If you guys have bodyguards, you might send them over to ask nicely to log into the account and then they can change the login information and be on their way al
If no one else has access to the page to remove the old page admin and re-a-sign a new one and you can prove it is your brand and the page is being misused by a party not involved with the company anymore im sure you can dispute it with twitter and either get the page taken down or turned over to you. What i would do is gather all the information you have proving this matter and that the brand does belong to you and contact twitter. From that point im sure they will let you know if anything else is needed to prove this fact. Probably the best way to do this is through a lawyer as then they will know you are serious. Best of luck with this as the person trying to ruin your brand should be locked up for this in my opinion.
