the worst niches are the ones that are over saturated, like for example plasma tv

    Hey,
I don't think there is a "worse" niche, it's all depend on your market.

I have reviewed everything that I can find on this forum, Kerosene's forum, the BANS forum and every where else I can find information.

From this I have gleaned that there is no such thing as a bad niche. Whatever niche you chose, you can sell products. That does not mean, however, that all niches are created equal.

If you chose too broad of a niche, you will get a lot of untargeted traffic. This will likely result in low conversions. If you're model is built on PPC traffic, you will lose your shirt. A broad niche also makes SEO more difficult because of the broad niche of your niche.

If you pick an oversaturated niche, then the consequences are that you are competing with a lot of players to get traffic. This drives up PPC costs. You will be competing against big players that have bigger advertising budget than you do.

It also makes getting organic traffic more difficult. It is very hard to get a better SERP than the big boys in these oversaturated niches.

Finally, I think it decreases the life of your cookie. If the niche is oversaturated, you are not just competing with the big boys, you are competing with me and every other CJ affiliate. If the visitor does not buy when they visit your site, their next stop might be my site. If so, your cookies is gone.
