Tweaking an Existing Navbar

Got a little job tweaking an existing navbar if anyone's interested?

I need the navbar category to be highlighted when a page/post is being viewed within the relevant category.

If a post is in say the 'Relationships' category, then that category should be highlighted on the navbar whenever that post is open. If that same post is other categories, then once again, this should be highlighted on the navbar depending where the post was opened from.

The navbar should also have the category highlighted when the category index page is open (this is a page, not a post, where all the relevant articles will be).

The highlighted tabs (except for the home page which is a fixed colour), should have a different colour on mouseover from what they are at the moment.

The new colour is glossy green (slightly darker bottom half than top), with a think dark green top border (see attached image). There is also a little down arrow pointing to the page in question.

The home page tab will remain charcoal black from anywhere within the site, with the only difference being it'll display its own arrow, when on the home page.

    SUMMARY

Change category background colour/style on mouseover for 4 category tabs, and make colour stick when article is opened in that category. Also include down arrow pointing to opened page.

Please only quote for this job if this is the kind of tweak you can do with your eyes shut.

    Thanks in advance
