Not necessarily warrants of arrest, but maybe summons for a civil suit. Still, it
can affect you if ever you're finally served one of them from especially a U.S.
    party.

Can we keep it on topic :D it's the day of reckoning... judgement day. Still don't know what to do!

I was considering getting a new domain without family guy in it and removing the family guy image and redirecting all the traffic there. The main issue seems to be the use of the family guy name being confusing for consumers and the hosting of illegal content (of which isn't true anyway we only link to file sharing sites like berryshare.com).

I would close the site and fill it with ads and popups to get maximum revenue until the existing traffic dies. In the meantime you may post a notice at the top of the page recommending people to go watch other shows on your other sites (if you have any, just make sure they are not FOX copyrighted too).

I've decided to change my entire plan for my tv network to revolve around a single site without using any of the offending copyright terms in the title or url and no offending copyrighted logos or images.

Currently redirecting traffic from http://www.viewfamilyguy.com to http://www.viewtvnetwork.com until I get shit sorted.

I'm guessing that you are more of a hobby webmaster. Now would be a great time to take the skills you have learned in running this site and focus your efforts on something else. Legitamate webmasters do not opperate sites like this. If you continue, five years from now you'll just be upset with yourself that you wasted time running piracy sites for fun when you could have been doing something legit with more of an upside.

Don't listen to this FreeTheNoob guy. He either gives bad advice for his own personal amusement, or he is just some dumb kid.

Its not 'dumb' advise and the only personal amusement I would get is to see the response from the copyright holder's lawyers if the person actually followed my advice. Like I said before there is nothing Copyright holders can do to protect themselves from having their software stolen and sold online.

I 100% agree with you there.

But the problem with your train of thought is that you have linked an inability to stomp out piracy with your perception that nothing happens to infringers.

Your piracy advice is akin to telling someone to drive over the speed limit because the police can't prevent speeding. The fact is, there will be select unlucky drivers that do get pulled over and receive a ticket. The same thing is true for online piracy.

You have to weigh risk vs. reward. With piracy sites the reward is almost entirely social. Is the ability to call yourself that cool cat with the free shit online worth the risk?

For me it's not, and it really shouldn't be for anyone since the ability to run one of these sites means that you probably have enough skills to do something legit. Something that could turn into a nice source of income.

Yes, but this doesn't mean they don't sue people on individual basis and the guy is probably one of their targets. I personally wouldn't mess with big companies such as FOX and would get out of their way immediately as soon as they spot my activities (playing with their copyrighted material) - let alone if they send me a legal treat. But maybe that's just me. Maybe you have extra hundreds of thousands of dollars you are willing to put at risk paying if you are accidently one of the victims of big companies legal revenge to piracy.

As for the redirected site of the OP - you are still hosting images for each episode on your site's psychical server. Also, you are purposely directing people to copyrighted videos. Those two facts are enough for FOX to get a lot of money from you.

As I said earlies - if I was you - I would close the site and stuff it with advertisements to get some extra money while I still can.

I've done the right thing... sort of...

Site is closed, I've setup some redirects to the new site depending on where you came from. Other than that your greeted with the dead site.
