TV or computer. Who will win the race?

You are right on it. We simply need some technologies to merge and reduce some of the maintainence burdens.

 

I think PC will eventually takeover the role of TV. I've already started watching shows like Lost on my PC when I miss them.

 

I already use my PC for TV Mainstream though, I still think there is a long time to go yet... maybe in 10 years or so.

 

I use my computer as a TV sometimes but still prefer a normal TV, probably because its a big plasma

 

i think computer takes it by far ... i can do almost everything on my computer ... and tv is just like if i m tryin to relax turn it on.

 

Hey by computer you mean the whole thing right ? with CPU etc.. etc..
then what is the comparison between TV and Computer ?

With computer only one can enjot, whereas with TV whole family can enjoy. So, why not just merge features of computer into a TV.

 

but is easiest to control tv when you want to watch tv than to power on a pc. I have a media center in my home but i don't use it to much.
