Hi everybody, I have a question concerning registering .tv domains.

Can somebody give me advice on the economic viability of .tv domains for reselling purposes? Are they easy to sell, who are you buyers?

Just to be clear, I do not have plans to develop a .tv domain, nor do I currently own one.

I am simply hesitating to reg one because all you hear is that the real value lies in .com domains.

Please help me out, reps will be added!

No, .tv domains have real value.

Because the extension .tv already has huge awareness among the general population and the video industry of the Internet is growing at a rapid pace, .tv domains are seen as the most upcoming domain by many in the domain industry.

Of course remember the domain needs to fit the extension for real value to arise.

I don't know who's saying that but whoever it is, they're full of crap.

.tv names definately has value to them, but as with any other extention like .com & so on, there are names worth a lot & there are names worth $0. But with .tv, you have to be a lot more selective with the names that you reg as they are a lot more expensive to reg & also comparing to the .com extention, worth a lot less than the .com equivalant.

I see the .tv extention as a perfect extention for media sites that could potentially down the track become in the top 3 extentions.

Unless you know what you are doing, I wouldn't recommend jumping into the .tv extention until you understand the market.
