Television is mostly a waste of time, but you shouldn't shut yourself out from this medium completely. It's great for news, connecting with the world, and socialization purposes as well. A lot of watercooler moments happen on television - you don't want to miss out!
Somehow as I got older, my TV watching decreased. I feel that i'm more addicted to the internet and there's much more to do and learn. I probably all together watch 2 to 3 hrs of TV a week. There are a few shows that i like to watch when and if I catch them on. Other than that, I go to the movies to watch a new flick. I'd rather communicate w/ friends n go out and do something instead most of the time.
Well, I do keep watching TV most of the time as its just beside my PC. So, I use both of them at the same time.
It's been more than 1 year when I watched TV channels for my self... but yeah I use TV for playing Xbox360 lol
I used to watch TV all the time. Now, every show on TV is boring right now, with the exception of action shows, shows like CSI, Mentalist, 24, bad girls club, and the like.
I have been watching a lot less TV than before, and that is a good thing because TV really sucks all your productivity away! With the advent of TV shows and movies online, it is far better as you can schedule your viewing time after/before you do your productive work, and you don't waste time sitting through commercials that you don't really want to watch. Personally, I wait till the end of the day, when all my work on the net is done, and I just want to relax for a while.
I rarely sit down to just watch something on TV. I am always doing something else at the same time. Drive's my husband nuts "if your not going to watch it then turn it off". I just like the background noise better than music when I am reading or working on my jewelry.
i think TV really is an utter waste of time though, and I couldn't imagine spending more than an hour a day watching it. I also have a terrible habit of losing interest during commercial breaks and going to do something else instead.
