Show me the sites it's doing wonders for because I can tell you the link wheel isn't. Unless you have each link on a separate IP and host then you are incorrect as far as SEO is concerned.

 

I cant show you a site. however I can tell you some general tips

1. Make sure you choose good web 2.0 sites
2. Build links to those web 2.0 sites from different sources
3. updates the web 2.0 sites once in a while

Nice suggestions, link exchange used to be great when it first started but the search engines are penalising it, people who don't know any better though still continie doing it

newbie question: what if my site only get updates within time longer than what you are suggesting since it is only the products though..

Alright well it definitely needs to be updated at least semi-annually. If you just have products that your are posting about, obviously there are only so many products... but there are ways around this that do wonders. You can post tutorials like this one (that get a lot of love), in-depth articles on products, etc., etc.. The list can go on. Just make sure that the article is relative to your products, site, and keywords. Just be sure not to over-stuff it with keywords. Let them come naturally.
