http://tutcove.com/ Just launched it 3 days ago and put the first video tutorial up. Basically im custom creating tons of video tutorials ranging from Coding to Graphic Design to desktop customization. I have a twitter set up, a facebook group, a Youtube channel, and some other good social media apps. As of now, let me know what you think of the look of the site. And check out the first video tutorial and let me know what you think of the quality (watch in HD!): http://tutcove.com/tutorials/photoshop/fixing-a-flat-texture/ and if the site gets an error reload it. its just my horrible host, Fatcow, being horrible
Good job Chris, it looks clean and smooth! When you go into the first blog post at the top of the page, the users photo has a broken image. I wish you all the best with your new venture. And good luck in your school work. Btw: Nice video.
It takes quite a while to load mate. And I would not start to promote the site until you have at least 25 tutorials up. Otherwise, people will visit and think... OH IT'S UNFINISHED. STUFF THIS! And they'll leave.
It looks epic. ....Anyway, to elaborate. I think the shine on the header could be removed, or you could even just make it less.. uhm shiny. Im talking about the shine behind the text, not the shine on the text. Also, perhaps add a logo? You need people to remember this site, so give them something to remember it by. A logo is always good. And concerning your slogan... "Overflowing with Tutorials, for you" I think it may sound better as "Overflowing with Tutorials, just for you" But on the whole, a nice website. I like it's simplicity and the colours work well.
Nice clean and smooth, easy to navigate and a pleasure to the eye. Keep updating the content and it'll go a long way. Please feel free to review my blog! http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1829056
Thanks guys please continue with the feedback! Im fixing things as I go! Also added a new tutorial, let me know if the quality is still ACE! Working on creating a matching forum skin at the moment!
(This is not Feedback) But... I'm just wondering. How did you get the sidebar to drop down the whole page? Give us a video tutorial!
Thanks guys, and Mafia Penguin what are you talking about exactly? The sidebar with "RSS" "Suscribe" and all that junk? If I know, maybe I will make a tutorial! haha
I worked it out. The sidebar (Yeah with the RSS thing in ) you have can reach the footer because it is a background image repeated on the y axis. It's known as a Liquid Faux column or something. Otherwise your sidebar would half-way down the page and look odd I've just employed that technique on my own website, But yeah that will definitely be a tutorial worth doing. Thanks anyway, and keep up the good work!
Boy that design is ugly! work on it try getting one 1024px normal user screen, the red and gray not working for it. PM if you fix it.
