Turnkey Supplement Business

Where can I find a turnkey supplement business that will allow me to add a store interface onto an existing site that will look like they are buying on my own site until the person actually checkouts?

I came across one or two but they wanted thousands up front, which is a scam since Ive come across turnkey options in other industries offering for 40 dollars a month to host a website. They will even give you software to manage it and make it look like your own store and do a good job disguising the domain that handles the actual transactions.

I need something that will let me put it on my existing site, and only charges a monthly fee, no huge upfront costs.

    Hi All,
I have been looking for something similar. I have actually only found two of these. One is MyNutritionStore which does not really appeal to me as they only sell their line of products. I am looking for access to a large feed of recognized retail brands. My main reasons for “partnering” with this type of business model are:
    • Look much bigger than I actually am. Create a more secure feeling for first time shoppers.
    • Be able to offer a wider variety which, in turn, creates return customers and repeat business.
    • Since everything is taken care of as far as shipping, inventory, CS etc. It frees my time up to focus on marketing (traffic and conversion). I can then concentrate on the several niche products that I offer which have a much higher margin than their products. In essence, I want to kind of shroud myself in their largeness so I can focus on smaller niches. Any comments on this idea are much appreciated.
    • Create a bigger “internet footprint” for my site. This helps with SEO by not only getting some erroneous traffic from oddball keywords but you just appear bigger (more content) to search engines.
The only other one that I found and am very interested in is ApolloCommerce. They are known by a host of different names. Some of them are: HealthyCommerce, musclemaster, apollofulfillment, healthyprofitsprogram, healthycommerceprogram, healthycommerce, and musclesurf. They offer a program that (for upfront fees) will integrate an inventory feed to your site and allow you to carry a large amount of name brands. Margins are not that great but again I am using this for different purposes. The products are basically dropshipped from them with your label on it. You appear to your customer as the shipper etc. This company has been around for quite some time. The thing that really disturbs me about this company is the lack of independent information I find about them. When you have been around the web that long somebody usually has something to say about you (good or bad). I can find virtually nothing. I checked the BBB, forums, endless search engine queries, checked their traffic, their whois to find different names to search for and a lot of other stuff I won’t go into here. I just can’t find anyone who has something to say about them.
I am in the process now of finding their competitors. If they have been doing this for 10 years they must have competition. I would like to compare them to others since I don’t have any other credible information on them. The problem I am having is finding anyone else that offers this type of service.

Does anyone know what this business model is called? It would be a big help if I knew a term to refer to this kind of offering as. I am having a hard time finding companies that do this because I don’t know exactly what to call it. Is it a start up, a turn-key, an affiliate program (publisher), or fulfillment company? Apollo uses the term “strategic partner”. Some other keywords I have been looking under are, data feed, java feed, store front, nutrition(al), supplements, vitamins, herbs and health food.
I would really appreciate any advice, input or direction anyone has to offer on this. If you have a company you think could work please let me know.
    Thanks, Nash

    Domainer_10,
Can you tell me which ones you found? I don’t really care what they cost; I would like to research anything you have. I hope what I posted has some relevance and helps you in some way. Nash

The only supplement one i know of is the one musclesurf uses like you mentioned. I believe they charge like a couple thousand which is a ripoff. The one im talking about that charges like 40 a month with no upfront fees isn't in the supplement industry. Although after closer look they have you call a number for more details so they might charge a lot of money up front for them too, I don't know since they don't say that on the site.

Yeah, Apollo charges you about $2k to get set up. Like you, I am not really sure if it is worth it.

You said in your original post "I came across one or two". Did you find anything else that was like Apollo? Like I said, I don't care what it costs I just want to research it. Anything you have I would appreciate.

Does anybody know of any Nutritional Supplement companies that will drop ship and have a direct data feed? I would do that too.

    Thanks, Nash

One thing I don't like about the appollo option is they don't automate the credit card transactions, you either have to get your credit card account or use theirs. I want something that is truly passive, basically it looks like its my store except at the last minute they are referred in the shopping cart to a different site that actually processes it (but the logo of my site remains).
