What amounts of bandwidth and space are required to run this?

 

The HDD will be lower than 10 GB in the first year, you can't stock images more than this imho.

Traffic might even up to 80GB. My calculations are based on my social network, which consumes about 50gb BW/mo, with 8000 users.

I'm holding it on HostGator with no issues whatsoever, even contacted them to make sure it's okay to host images, they agreed.

*EDIT* My hostgator hosting is 7.99$/mo - so figure out the numbers!
