First of all you have to go to "Edit Options" under your User CP and change there Default Thread Subscription Mode as you want. You can change subscription mode for your previous threads through Subscribed Threads option under 'Quick Links' option header section.

Yeah been there done that, it subscribes me to every topic I reply to its weird..

All I want to do is subscribe to the topics I create, and that's it :). Without having to post and unsubscribe every time I make a post.

So does that mean it'll still auto subscribe me to my own topics? Or do I just subscribe manually to my own topics? Also will all my current topics I'm subscribed to stay subscribed?

If you select option 'Do Not Subscribe' there then you have to subscribe manually for your as well as others topic if you want to subcribe that one particularly.

They remain same as previous status (If subscribed previously then remain subscribed). You need to change their status through Subscribed Threads option under 'Quick Links' option manually.
