Well, I've built my xhtml ok. And I built in safety checks to change the look of my page if no flash is detected. Now here is my problem, I want trick my page into thinking I don't have flash installed (to test if i've done things right). I just am not sure, if I do this in FireFox and IE settings, or somewhere else. I think I may have only done this once many years ago and can't seem to remember.

You could uninstall your flash player, and just reinstall it when youve finished testing it

i believe it's just an ocx (.ocx) file in the windows/system32 folder - if you remove it flash is uninstalled :)
