Greetings, I will be turning 18 in about 8 months and I am trying to prepare for that, I also am starting to realize the new responsibility and the freedom that comes with it. But, I don't know to much what the benefits are of turning 18 or what is bad about turning 18. So can anyone enlighten me to as what will be different? Thanks, -Ryu
I have and never will smoke or drink, I'm not that stupid. Bank Account would be a nice plus, I already use adsense Youtube, dun care for anyway. Porn? Hell I don't need to be 18 to get that!
One last piece of advice (since you did ask...LOL), When you reach, what some consider a milestone in life, the age of eighteen, consider this. You've really only just begun. You have much more to learn and to experience. Asking for advice on a forum, while it might get you a few good suggestions, is no substitute for advice from a respected and accomplished "teacher" or other such professional. Even a "guidance counselor" would probably have better life "lessons" for you than a "marketing forum". Before someone thinks that I'm knocking DP, forget it, else I wouldn't be here... Be Well! True, you shouldn't get one for any other reason but credit building. In that one sole purpose they are a good thing. Other than that, credit cards are a trap.
I found this funny but this is true. Driver's License maybe? You can now go to liqueur store and buy some hard drinks Well you should also prepare being treated as a independent.
You can buy porn and cigarettes by yourself, and get into some strip clubs/clubs. Whoooop de do! Happy very early Birthday though lol
Just live your own life and learn. Whatever advice we give you, you won't keep that in your mind until you experience it by yourself.
You still have some time before you turn 18. Turning 18 was actually a big deal for me, not to mention I'm a smoker. But you have many more responsibilities that you do on your own. Also, parents will be more leniate on your curfew(mine werent) but most parents are. The only thing you prolly wouldnt be able to do is buy alcohol. When you turn 18, you become an adult and have the opportunity to do adult things. Depends what your interests are. Hope you get to post back when the day actually comes!
One thing you have to watch your ass for once you cross into official adulthood is seeing/dating minors. I don't know where you live, but here in the states we have pretty strict laws. All it takes is one slip, and you'll be labeled as a sex offender. It's a pretty big thing here. I remember when I first turned 18, and my girlfriend was only 16 at the time....I had to watch my foot every step of the way during our relationship. I had to be very cautious...
benefits.. you can do what you want..! but not all.. you can enter into clubs or watch movies in theater under rated 18. you can decide for your own self..freedom.. iriscutie^_^
