I was updating my settings a few minutes ago and I unchecked the newsletter box. Then, after saving, a black screen popped up and said I was not allowed to use this site unless I enabled it by clicking this LINK http://forums.digitalpoint.com/profile.php?do=allownewsletter WTF?
Yes, its important to not select it. Although you won't get any newsletter from here... May be a few in 5 years or maybe none.
