    Hello mates,

I found this article as very informative and helpful for newbies.

    Turn Visitors into Sales

Making a successful online business can be a long and tiresome adventure. For most new online business's this can just lead to failure and a website that just isnt making sales despite a high number of visitors.

One of the most difficult products to sell, is infact Web Design Services. There are potentially millions of competitors attempting to gain customers. All trying to gain the upper hand.

The most common mistake a web design company makes, is that they fill their site full of internet jargon. Most likely resulting in confusing the potential customer. Many will just go elsewhere within a matter of seconds.

This raises alot of questions including, does the potential customer really care if ASP or PHP is used to create the web site, whether a database is needed, what kind of hosting is available etc.

For most business's that want to adventure into setting up an online website to sell their goods, they are simply not interested how it works. They just want the website and online shop created so they can start selling. How it comes to be, is not important.

A good way to stop all the confusion is to structure the web site so that it is user friendly. Use every day words like 'Sell Online' instead of ecommerce. This way, the potential customer will understand and is more likely to stay on your site and explore, with more chance of making the sale.

It is certainly not a walk in the park to be successful in the internet marketing. Internet traffic is quite a hard nut to crack especially if what you want is to convert them into sales.

Your input for web designers is indeed a helpful information for many of us here in this forum.

In addition you need to analyze the wide range of customer behaviour and their taste and interest to open your field widely.

While we aren't a new business, I disagree. Web design/development has been exploding for us lately. A lot faster then we can keep up with.

But, the easy way to ensure this happens is to make sure each site you do is a great site. Word of mouth travels, FAST!
