Turn multiple .avi files into a web video

    Hi,

I have multiple .avi files that I would like to connect together (with transitions, etc.) into a single video file for the web. I used camstudio to make the .avi files and tried using MS Moviemaker on my Vista machine, but it is not coming out right. The screens are darker than they should be and some of the colors are messed up, as well. I have tried changing codecs and just about all possible settings to no avail. So, I am looking for a good free (or at least cheap) program to do what MS Moviemaker is supposed to do. TIA.
