I just read that a Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur, plans to produce a movie based on a script called Live 2 Tell which was written by Tupac –the world-famous rapper who was shot dead in 1996. It’s about a kid from the city who becomes a drug kingpin but later gives up the crime life.
Yep, I think the production company doing the film also does one of the tattoo shows on TV. Coupled with the idea that a Tupac-penned script would have been made already if it was actually good, the project doesn't look like anything to look forward to. There's a reason there are screenwriters who write for the screen -- it's not a form of writing that's easy to just jump into.
"Above the Rim" (1994) - Definitely Tupac's greatest film role and "Gridlock'd" (1997) - Released after Tupac's death, the stabbing debate with Tim Roth is quite hilarious. The spotlight on Tupac Shakur's life often focuses on his musical ventures, but people seem to forget about his career on the big screen.
I enjoy listening to Tupac's music! I am sure that if this movie will push through, many people will watch the movie. The story is very inspiring for sure.
