Trying to Verify my website with webmaster

    Im trying to verify my website with googles webmaster but having trouble. I have followed their instruction about where to put the code but its still not happening. Can anyone help or shep any light on this?

    I would simply use the upload file method if your having problems with meta tag option.

    EDIT: actually, did that make sense? I am assuming your trying to verify a sitemap... are you referring to something else?

    Just noticed your edit there.

    Im trying to verify with google webmaster that im the site owner. I dont want to insert the sitemap. This is last resort.

    Yes the fastest way is to upload a html file with the confirmation code as page name. It never lasted more than a couple of seconds for me to see the new domain verified.

    Its so simple. You just need to upload a file or place a meta tag. It will be verified very easily.

    u need to put meta verification code after meta desc, meta keyword link and upload same page, then u need to click on verify button in google webmaster tool.

    You have to choose two option. that is html file or meta tag elements. If you like html file, you download the file and upload your web server with ftp help. Or if you like meta tag, select and copy the meta tag, put that element within (<head> meta tage </head>) head.

    For Verifying your site there are 2 options one is uploading file and second adding meta tag you can choose it depends on you.

    I was having an issue today with the site verification. One of my previously verified sites became unverified and then it wouldn't work after I tried again. Might just be a temporary problem.
