I know many larger sites have stopped this but i don't know how can any of you guys help me i want to let people watch the videos but i just want to stop them downloading them or make it harder for them to down load them its costing me to much money lol.

    Thanks

The way Flash normally works, the FLV is passed as a parameter even if you removed the "Download now" link its just a quick "View Source", work out where the file is and download it.

Thats before you get into stream rippers and stream downloaders.

If we had a link to the site we may be able to help more, interesting you mention Real Player do you actually mean Real Player or just the FLV player your using online?

    Hi

If some one has real player installed on there computer and has the browser addon installed every time they go to a video on my site and many others real player add a link to the top of the video offering to download it.

I know you can not stop people downloading them but you can make it harder which will stop a lot of them
