Trying to set up a cron job to update stats daily...

This is what my daily email says:

/bin/sh: line 1: http://username:password@www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/?action=lookupall: No such file or directory

I have my username and password correctly inputted. Did I do something wrong? I can go basic or advanced (unix) and I used basic.

I set it for 7:30 in the morning.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong? I've never used a cron job before.

I don't really know...I just set it up through my cpanel...I don't remember it asking for anything like that...just a time and I chose 07 30

No, I had to fill in boxes...should the link have quotation marks around it? Mine doesn't.

Ok, I added quotations around that line through the cpanel script.

We'll see tomorrow if it works.

I used quotation marks on this one.

Let me check around Google...is there anything else you can think of? Am I linking the right page?

file a ticket with your webhost. they aught to be able to get it sorted out in a snap.

 

I think I figured something out. I don't think the problem is my cron job, I think it is the link.

When I try to go to this link:

http://username:password@www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/?action=lookupall

There is no page there...Is that the right link?

 

Shawn...I meant there is no page when I put my login/password in.

If you need, I can pm you my username and password. Does it work for your login/pass?

just a thought, does your pw contain any characters that would get translated in the url?

 

possibly a period?
