So-- I have written an ebook. Trying to promote it and sell it. Where do I begin? It's been listed on clickbank for about a month. It's not a "get-rich-quick" scheme. It's not about affiliate marketing. In fact, it's a great/helpful ebook aimed at helping people understand the basics of personal financing and home budgeting. It's really well-written and comes in at about 50 pages. It's priced at $6.99. Offering 70% commission. Do you think I should raise the price? Thoughts?
YES... Affiliates will get under $5 per sale, so no one will PPC it. People also will see the price and think it's a low grade product
Yes..please do! Affiliates wont want to market your product for a $5 commision per sale. And if the ebook is really worth it - people would pay a lot more. right? try to raise your price to $14.99 / 19.99 and see where you go from there. My $0.02.
Thanks! I was against pricing it so high because I wanted it to be "a deal." VERY HELPFUL! I will raise it to 19.99 and go from there. I will let you know how it does.
i dont even know whether i have it in my sig right now..lol..but check http://ebookprofits.superiorbits.com if you want. Yes..raise the price...i mean you know what work you put in it..and what value a buyer gets. $19,95 is not bad for a start.
I think raising the price to $27 is a good start. It's a price that allows affiliates to earn some decent commission. Plus if you book is any good, you don't want it to look cheap with a low price. If it's worth $27, then price it at that...
Based on the current price - it shows as though you are hoping for volume, which is commendable for a change Remember these are info products - imagine a book store like Chapters/Indigo, which books sell for the most? How much is 'most' and why do they vary? As the world goes more and more toward digital products especially for info products, they expect and will search until they find the best deal out there for whatever topic or info they want. If you are hoping on affiliate sales - i agree with all of the above, affiliates like money/easy conversions/easy support material/great products/great commissions etc. HOWEVER overpricing your offer may result in a lot returns as well. It's great to find someone trying to figure out how much higher their price should be, as most vendors including myself have at one time or another lowered their price more than once to accomadate market positioning. How big is the book? Who published it? Is it HUGE font and lot's of pics wich random info? Is it tight, a great read with real valuable info? Have you had other guru's review it for you? Have you seen competitive products selling for a lot more? Doing competitive intel may be your best bet - Going too high may get you more affiliates however if it doesn't convert for 'you' at $7, it might not convert for anyone at any price, and then no affililiates will trust your future products... Whatever price you set, do your own due diligence and price it accordingly to your own appraisals plus those that you can get to review it. Cheers, NC.
CB isn't the center of the IM universe, ya know. Have you thought about other sales channels such as eBay? How bout selling it from your own website? etc, etc.
Raise the price to 20-30$, pay out a comission of 75% and I can assure you more affiliates would want to promote!
