Trying To Mask A Link In ScrollBar Using Javascript

    Hi,

    On my website I'm trying to link to an affiliate link but am using javascript to display a different URL in the scrollbar (so that when the person puts their cursor on the link it displays a different link in the scrollbar). I thought I had managed to do it as it worked when I viewed the page offline, however when I uploaded it to the server it just doesn't display anything in the scrollbar when I put my cursor on the link.

    I was wondering whether it could be some form of IE security feature, preventing the javascript from running? Would that be correct? And is there another way of getting around this?

    Surely someone must have an idea how to hide the link from the scrollbar?
