Trying to install my Web site tool onto new laptop from External hard drive

    I am trying to install my web site design software tool from my P.C onto my laptop.

    I have dragged the software tool from my P.C onto my external hard drive and plugged that external hard drive into my laptop.But the laptop is not recognising the software installation.
    Images files and music files have been transferred from p.c to external hard then onto laptop with No problem though.
    Please advise

    did you copy the installs or the installed filels? if you copied the installed files you won't find them without a registry entry but check the exe some times it will work without the registry entry

    You need to run an installer for 90% of Windows applications.
