Trying to get my head around forum posting link gen

    Ok, so ive joined and been posting on about 5 pr5+ forums for a few weeks now. I have well over 300 messages. So when the search engines get to my site I should have something like 300 backlinks to my signature? I assume that google and yahoo spider this site fairly often so shouldnt those sig links show up sometime soon? Or can it still make months to get spidered at all? Thanks in advance for any help.

    I heard DP gets "visited" very often so you'll get your links pretty soon, I guess.

    loads of backlinks on the same forum wont carry much weight - most of the links will be ignored for link juice purposes

    One of the best ways to get backlinks on related themes like forums and blogs is to sign up for google alerts on your subject theme...

    When you get an alert from google visit the site and see if you can leave a RELEVANT and USEFUL comment there...some of the alerts will contain very high ranking;) and specialist sites...
