Trying to get HTML Site to work ...

Afraid this is rather basic. I spent many hours yesterday reading Forum threads but I have failed to get things working. Whilst I cobbled my site together myself I am not a techie and have not done any scripting. My site is HTML only.

My site URL is http://www.allaboutinterviews.com. My site host confirms that mod_rewrite and php support are enabled.

I am getting the following message -
Account not not yet activated. | Site failed automatic validation as of 2004-12-30.

I have followed the instructions in this forum as best I can. Is there somewhere I can find some documentation on setting this up for an HTML only site that will help me along?

    Thanks a lot, David Wedge.

I have read through the thread above and followed the instructions shown, but I still get exactly the same error message. Is there anywhere I can find a more detailed error message as I have no idea how to resolve this? What do I have to do with each of my html pages having set up the files on the server as instructed?

    Thanks.

Thanks Shawn, I am still getting 'Account not not yet activated. | Site failed automatic validation as of 2005-01-04' (make sure URL and site type is correct - if everything is correct, make a request in the forum for assistance).

Its fair to say that I am rather stumbling round in the dark on this, I followed your html instructions thread but having never done scripting before the .htaccess and .php files I have created are meaningless to me.

Well, the setup you are using (the passthru on the HTML files) is a little "trick". It depends a lot on the server configuration and it's nearly impossible to try and troubleshoot if it doesn't work without access to the server itself.

On that basis what would you suggest I do? Can I get some more details for you? Or come to that I am happy to give you my login details to my host. Or is there another way I can set this up?

    Thanks.

First I would confirm with your system administrator that your site supports .htaccess and PHP.

I have confirmed that .htaccess and PHP are supported and enabled.

I'm not really sure beyond that... without any errors to go on, it's impossible to troubleshoot.

Is there another way I can code it for an html only site, or can I get some better error messages to show up? Otherwise I seem to be at a dead end and unable to join the network.

That's the only method I know of for an HTML site...
