I've got a new site, which ironically enough is meant to help other websites generate traffic and interest in their sites. It's a play off of Digg, in that users can comment, vote, and discuss websites. Where Digg and other Digg related sites want users to post news articles, this is simply a site to review sites As a web developer myself, this has always been a headache, so I thought I'd create a place to help people find good quality sites that are relevant. How can I build awareness? Any help, suggestions, or comments would be great. sivle
putting the site in your signature would be a great way - I'm not sure how long it takes for a new registrant to get that ability though!
Of course put the url in your signature (here on DP you need 10 posts and a week) and join some communities where you will find your audience (forums, comment on some related blogs, submit an article somewhere, on digg for example
You can try at www.stumpleupon.com. If your site is interesting you make tons of traffic in a few days.
thanks...stumbleupon seems like an interesting site...you can just submit sites that are interesting to you. As a web designer myself, it can be such a pain to get your site noticed. That's part of it I guess.
