Hey all...I got so many questions regarding my site since I'm out of ideas on what to do to get it back up higher on google. I have 3 150x150 pixel square image ads on my main page that link to my clients websites...they are randomized each time the page is refreshed. Does anyone know or has noticed that this is something google might not like?? Is it better to has non-rotating ads? Also, my website consists of mostly informative content BUT I also have a huge section that is a directory of a couple hundred pages each for a different city but I have "No Follow" on them. Is it a mistake to have so many cities or should I just stick to a couple main ones? And lastly...I've been programming new pages in XHTML using php and lots of css and div's but NO tables. Now when I'd upload the new pages I did not remove the old ones and they are just kind of floating in free space somewhere there without anything on my site linking to them....can those damage my pr? I could go on...but this might be a start to finding the problem... I'm glad this forum has so many smart SEO's here....thanks in advance. Oh!...PS. since I just started posting...I missed it...when was the last google update??
If you post the URL, some people here might look at your site and be able to give you some recomendations. Also, if you want to make sure the old pages are excluded, you can put a meta no index tag in their headers. It looks like this: <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> Finally, if keep reading threads on this forum, you will gradually learn a lot about what to do and what to avoid.
