Trying to come up with a LP that will convert for a monthly rebill music video site

I built this fan site and blog a week ago for this new subscription site called MusicMatrix. It is a site where people sign up and pay a monthly fee, in exchange they get online data storage and an online video editor where they can "remix" videos and submit them in artist sponsored contests. In exchange for the fee, the user can enter contests and use special video clips and content provided by the artist.

I am skeptical if people will actually pay money for a site like this. The technology is Kaltura under the hood (which is free/open source). They do get the artists involved, but so do other free sites.

I've generated some traffic, and gotten enough click throughs that I would have expected results by now. They have no back end stats that I could find, where one might see whats happening after you send the click over. Bounce rates, conversion, EPC, etc. none of this exists. I'm not entirely sure if the "affiliate" program even works, I mean I'm not sure if they are even crediting affiliates or not. I have no way to confirm. But having gotten no commissions yet, I'm going to guess that it doesn't convert for some reason. I don't know if its because nobody will pay, or if a good landing page would work.

If you decide to check it out and sign up, you could use my affiliate link and I would get $5/mo from it and would be thankful: MusicMatrix. Or you can just go to http://www.musicmatrix.com.

So, I would be much obliged if anyone had any ideas for how to actually make this convert. Its hard to figure out how to "sell" this concept. How do you convince someone to pay money to enter a contest.

The thing is $5/mo is a nice payout if it actually worked.

edit: Here is the landing page I've devised so far: http://www.mmxmusicvideos.com/whatismusicmatrix
