    Hi guys!

Just opened my new e-commerce site that sells magazine subscriptions... what do you think? The subscriptions I have listed surely beat out the competition!

    http://www.magazinecove.com

Anyways, I've been trying to build backlinks, etc. trying to bop myself to the top with Google for magazine subscriptions. I've gotten 3 back links so far... which aren't the best, but I guess it's something.

My main question is, how do you SEO for an e-commerce site trying to make a profit while competing with the competition? I kind of know how to do it for blogs, but for websites it's a totally different learning process for me and I'm not sure how to start. I'm just a newbie who's looking for some valid advice. I'm willing to take anything.
Once I take off with this above site nicely, I am going to open up more e-commerce sites and try the same methods if the above site starts succeeding.

    Thank you! :)

if it's backlinking your wanting - write articles about the subject and sumbit it to EZineArticles, GoARticles and ArticleBase.

You might do a few forum sig links and put some backlinks on a couple of web 2.0 props like squidoo and hubpages.

The first thing you need to do is choose a right set of keyword phrases for your website to concentrate.

Next, start building links to specific pages from article directory, business directory, forums, blogs, etc.

    Good luck with your site!

    Hi guys!

    Thanks for the advice.

This back link stuff will be tough...

I mean, just to compete with the major competition, for instance, magsdirect, is it going to take me really 103,000 back links to get myself on top of Google?
