i have recently started a network marketing company and the whole warm marketing, and purchasing leads online just isnt working for me, i have the option of setting up a website through the company and i was wondering if a ppc campaign would be a good way to go to advertise it? if so how much per day should i spend and what is going to be the best way to get started?

A website presence online is a must for any business. PPC is certainly the quickest way, once you have your website up.
You have a few options available to you. One is to set up landing pages based on tightly focused keywords for your business. You could try to capture emails on that page which is a hell of a lot better than paying for leads:)) Or you can set up pages to pre sell customers and then directing them to your site.

    Good luck,
    Zeek

Hi, your effort is called "visitor acquisition" or "lead generation".. As in any other business, lead generation is the most expensive part. Unfortunately, leads are so important because customers come from leads successfully converted.

In the online world, PPC is one of the most expensive campaign. Unless you have really allocated big enough funds for this, you may also try to do the cheaper alternatives, like:
    • Joining social networking sites, especially those of the targeted interests
    • Doing some twitting
    • Joining other forums
    • Posting ads in they free way, such as free classified ads, free link exchanges, etc

Hope this helps, and best of luck for you in your network marketing endeavor.

you will need to go both short term clients and long term, seo for long term, so you can cut expenses in the future and maximize your business earnings. and sem for short term, so you can have a client base, reputation, skills, and additional income if you don't have another job.

Right,PPC can help you.As to the budget,I think you should do it by yourself.Remember, this is just a part. You should keep on
doing some SEO work and keep your website updating and optimizing.Or PPC may be a waste of money.

I know that linkedin serves ads, and as far as I know, you can get CPM campaigns set up for pretty cheap. I would recommend looking into banner ads as well as standard search engine marketing. Your click through rates will be higher with banners.

I would not recommend spend much money on search engine advertising, when you could hire an SEO Expert or search engine optimization company to optimize your website to get good placement for less money.

The conversion rate of paid advertising is considerably less than conversion rate for organic search engine traffic.

    • In my opinion, SEO is always a better option for getting "quality" traffic.
You could also take the time to learn more about SEO and optimize your website by yourself for free. Most people do not want to take the time to learn and/or they want quick results without spending the time to do it right.

In conclusion: I would recommend taking in to consideration SEO rather than "wasting" money on paid advertising services.

PPC advertising can prove to be fruitful as long as the campaign has been set up as effectively as possible. If you target terms that aren't that relevant to the services you provide then it will result in a high bounce rate and low conversion rate.

Overall, the conversion rate of PPC advertising is about 50% less than what it is for organic positions. This doesn't mean that it's a bad form of marketing, it's just not as successful.

To achieve organic success then it can take anywhere up to a year so sometimes it's good to run a PPC campaign to gain immediate visitors and sales. Then once your organic positions have improved then you can always decide to drop the PPC campaign if you so wish. Most companies tend to run both at the same time though as this covers them completely.

You can learn SEO from the section with the same name in this forum, from videos on YouTube and from articles on EzineArticles.

Basically, all you need to do is to get as many quality backlinks to your page. And by quality I mean links from pages in the same niche as yours, with the highest PageRank, which are dofollow.

You may want to read more about those terms in order to understand what they mean.

    1) Setup a Google Adwords Account
    2) Create text ads
    3) Upload your banner ads
    4) Wait for the visitors and sales! :)

    So easy. :)

I didn't understand this when I first started either. :)

SEO = Search Engine Optimization which means attempting to make your page show up amongst the first results when someone searches on keywords relative to your site.

Now get to reading and learn the basics. ;)

    Cheers,

    Drew

Free advertising is everywhere on the Internet. There are many websites out there that let you put your ads on their sites. Like forums, some classified websites and craigslist have free advertising. When you find one, put your advertisement on their website to get more traffic to your home business website. From this you will come to know how to advertise a business .Well, free advertising is better than no advertising at all and it is a good way to start if you have a budget.

I would only add this - using PPC early on is very tempting. It seems so easy and fast. You make some ads, put them up and voila! - traffic. Believe me, it's no easier than anything else. And the downside is you can burn through a lot of money. When I first started (I'm still pretty new) I did just that. I had a few bucks to try it out, and rather than doing the WORK of learning about SEO, really fine-tuning keywords and content, I just slapped up a site (actually a really nice-looking site) and started running ads. The site then got slapped a second time-by Google. I kept trying to fine tune. And again, I spent money and got nothing. Not a lot, since I was conservative.

Anyway, the point here is don't think there's an "easy way out." Learn what makes a good site, strong content, optimized keywords, etc. Explore ALL options for promoting it. And if adwords makes sense, add it to the mix.

    Hope this is helpful.
