Trying to Add news feed to blog post. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to add a news feed to my blog. Every time I try to add a php news feed to the html part of the post, but it doesn't work. I don't want to use javascript b/c the search engines can't read it.

Can someone please tell me if what i'm doing is possible? And if so, how would I go about doing it (step by step)?

 

Why don`t you use the feedwordpress plugin?
