I tried to add a VCC to a US based Personal Paypal account recently. Before trying to add the VCC I had my paypal account linked to a checking account and was able to send and recieve paypal funds. After adding the VCC after a period of about 4 days my account was restriced by paypal. Now my money is stuck there and I cannot withdraw it. I called paypal and they told me the reason my account was restricted was because of a problem matching my address on the Credit Card I entered(which is the VCC) to the billing address on my paypal account. Well this was a shock to me because I was told lots of people, even outside the USA were getting verified accounts using VCCs...but with me the opposite happened. Instead of getting my account "enhanced" by adding a CC to my already existing linked bank account--the VCC made things worse! So what are my options now? Are there any better credit cards out there I can apply for...better quality VCCs who have more sophisticated address capbilities? Maybe I should apply for a debit card from a local bank? I dunno what to do now.
Hello! I know this problem. Your problem is the A(dress)V(erification)S(ervice) in the US. You can´t use any VCC with US PayPals. They check if the billing adress from the (V)CC match with the given info. Because the most cards sold here are Indian VCCs they don´t have AVS so of course adresses can´t match. I can suggest you seller "goldexcard" from here. He sells the VCCs which use this. Those cards are a bit more expensive then the standard VCCs but they are worth it for US accs. He is a absolute honest guy, even if he has not that much rep. in this forum now, but in another one. I hope this helps you a bit
Thanks that was helpful. I guess the user I bought the VCC from, ZOOMONE, talks like he knows more than he actually does about PP, ebay and VCCs. But I don't know if you read my case carefully...before I added the Zoomone VCC my account was OK..I could send and recieve but I only had a $500 per month limit. Now it is totally frozen.
Well your case is a bit strange, so far I've never read PayPal blocking an account verified with VCC. Maybe they are going against VCCs now (starting from US). Your options I doubt you have any left if they are asking for credit card statement. you never know btw .... My first suggestion would be to use a real credit card and if you don't have one ask your parents to get you an addon card else you could always buy prepaid shopping cards and register them to your name and address and that should work just fine.
Really? The person above you(Hellfire81) seems to be well aware that paypal verifies the address of a VCC if the customer is based in the US. When was the last time you heard of a US Paypal user adding a VCC without address verification and paypal letting them get away with it? I was on the phone twice today with PP customer service and both senior agents told me that it is REQUIRED that the VCC address match your paypal address. How would it even be possible to use a cheap VCC for this purpose then? If paypal wants you to add a Credit Card in order to CONFIRM YOUR US ADDRESS doesn't it make sense that they would try and match the billing address on the VCC to your paypal address?
For your kind information i have more than 20 US vcc buyers none of them had this issue, and stop blaming me.
Excuse me, but did you or did you not tell me that paypal does NOT do address verification on credit cards? I think you told me that...well anyway I think I need to get a VCC that works with address verification since your VCC does not. I would be very interested to know how your 20 US VCC buyers were able to verify their address on PP without having a CC billing address that matched their paypal address.
Relax guys ~ things like this happen so calm down. Thing is that when i was selling PayPal verification VCCs I sold around 50+ cards US PayPal verification cards without any problem but I still know few people who are selling verification cards and they are working just fine. I'm not quite sure what happened in your case but I never heard that personally (paypal verifying address of a virtual credit card, the main purpose of virtual credit cards is anonymity which means you could use them with any name and address so they don't come with any specific name/address). BTW I'm sure you used the same address as your own and made it billing address as well right?
They verified the same way no special things were asked for them atleast, if possible I'll also try and get my previous US buyers to reply here so maybe they could help.
Look Zoomone, you and your partner talked to me for a long time on messenger, trying to figure out what the problem was but in the end you just assumed it was some mistake I made myself...but it seems like you are unaware of the AVS system in use by paypal for US based accounts. the VCC you sold me was probably Indian and did not have AVS? Look carefully at what Hellfire81 said:
Yes, I used my own address. My paypal account was ALREADY VERIFIED before I tried adding the VCC. The reason I added the VCC was to make my PP account better...so I could send and recieve more than $500 per month. In order to do more than $500 in withdrawals to your bank account PP requires you to add a Credit Card. Also read what hellraiser81 said...paypal in the US is using some advanced technology for address verification.
They would be and I guess you've mentioned this alot of times already huh? You were supposed to read the TOS of PayPal and VCCs are not what PayPal is looking for. VCC just kills the whole purpose of verification and you did wrong and now you have to live with that. Learn your lesson and next time use real credit card.
