Trying To Add A "box" Of Content Near Top Of Pages...

    Greetings web experts,

    I'll try to explain what I mean the best I can.

    I have a website for my small business and plan to start collecting email lists to send out newsletters, promotions, etc. I will probably use an autoresponder service like Aweber or MailChimp... but I haven't decided which one yet.

    I will definitely have an opt-in box on my site's sidebar. However, I also want to add in a rectangular opt-in box that will appear at the top of my website's home page, about page, contact page, etc. My home page currently lists my latest blog posts.

    The best example I can give of what I'm aiming to do is something like what Ben Settle did at his website (bensettle[dot]com/blog ... can't add links yet because I'm not an "established member") where he includes the "new to this site" box above his content and on his various pages.

    What do you think is the best way to add this to my site? Will the autoresponders I discussed allow me to create opt-in boxes above my content? Do any of you know of a wordpress plug-in that could allow me to do this? Or maybe there's some other way.

    Thanks a lot for your help and I'm looking forward to your responses,

    Corey

    Depends on what cms ur using to create your site with really.. Would be very easy to do with Wordpress, or something similar.. failing that i would mean adding it by hand to your template / theme / website

    Auto responder and opt in newsletter functions are 2 differnt things, but you can do both with Mail chimp, which gets my vote

    @jackthalad. Thanks for your reply. I'm just launched my site earlier this month on Wordpress (coreyjpemberton[dot]com if seeing it would help). I created a child theme from the Origin theme and have made some minor modifications.

    Good to hear that Mail chimp can handle auto responder and opt-in. I will look into them further. Thanks for your help.

    Did you look at the source for Ben Settle's site?

    <div class="wwsgd" style="display:none;"><p style="border: thin solid black; padding: 3mm;"><big
    style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(153, 0, 0);"><big>New to this
    site?</big></big> Sign up for my etc. etc.</p><br></div>

    Code (markup):
