    No.

Submit your site suggestion one time, to the most appropriate category you can find, and then forget about it, and promote your site in other ways, :). Multiple submissions will delay the process further, and may be considered spamming the Directory.

Your suggestion is one of a possible 40,000 to 50,000 or more other site suggestions that are awaiting review by approximately 6,000 volunteer editors who have various amounts of time and interest available to devote to editing. It's not our job, it's our hobby. ;)

There are no shortcuts to getting listed, and no site has a right or promise to be listed.

These days every man and his dog is calling himself an Internet consultant of some sort and as a result categories like this are hammered by submissions and a speedy listing may not be forthcoming. If this category is the correct one for your site there is no point submitting to another category however if your business does not fit the description in here http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Marketing_and_Advertising/Internet_Marketing/desc.html and/or you are not an actual consultant then perhaps submission to another category might be appropriate.

Submitting a site to the best category is a good start but as Crowbar says there are no shortcuts to getting listed.

We're always looking for new editors, guys, as long as you do more than list just your own sites, :), and you're totally honest about your afilliations.

Instead of complaining, why not join us and become part of the solution? You know, volunteer your free time to do 20,000 -30,000 edits (or however many you'd like to do) to help out the community, and then retire (if you want to) knowing that you've put in your time to make the Directory better for everyone. Most current editors own sites or are webmasters themselves.

A great place to start is editing the city (locality) in Regional that you live in. You help your RL community and the Directory, it's really a lot of fun to do and very interesting. :) We need lots of editors in Regional.

Finding new sites for your locality is pretty easy and gives you a real sense of accomplishment.

Right now, you can't get further than a mighty captcha. They seem to have outsmarted themselves and put a captcha in submission form , but they don't know how it works

The captcha works okayish for me.
Some of them are definitely unclear as to I, l, or 1.
That's about par for the game with modern captchas. To be hard for the bots you want to stop, you risk creating a few that are too hard for humans to solve.
If so, a quick page refresh gets you a new one

The Directory needs editors in many areas. I would suggest you apply to edit your locality (city) in the "World" section of the Directory in your native language.
    http://www.dmoz.org/World/ :)

It sometimes takes several tries to become an editor, don't give up, just try to improve each application by studying the list of possible reasons for rejection and correcting those things.

Crowbar is once again, one of the only helpful editors here :D

Luckily, DMOZ gives a reason for editor rejection. That should help you learn your weak spots and get them up to par.

Figure out what your malfunction was, and re-apply.

    Best of luck!

Ummm... a couple of the posters had sites added (and no, I'm not solely responsible) and one nice fella I exchanged PMs with at least knows not to waste time submitting because his Scriptlance project ended any chance of entry (due to "no list" rule if payment offered).

Aside from whining in several threads about your own site (which IS listed) what contribution have YOU made here ? Zip.

    ONCE AGAIN...
If all you can do is cast rocks & bemoan problems those not listed wish they had...play elsewhere & let the big kids talk. :)

Rob has forgotten more than I know, and he has been thanked on another forum for his assistance to one poster here, I believe, :).

Well, sorry, but ummm, its only you and that one guy you PMed that know about that. It's truly a pity that you can not be helpful in public.

The post you quoted from me was constructive, though I can not really say the same for yours, unless of course you consider trolling helpful.

Though, heh...I'd not have to mention my site nearly as often as I do, if others would stop bringing it up. I was the first to bring it up in ONE thread here. The rest of the times, it has been editors. *shrug* So much for letting things drop eh?

It's strange that I'm attacked for giving a compliment. Says a lot about you does it not?

Funny, when I added a guys site all I heard was BS about favoritism and unequal rules. You little snipers arent happy without some ODP sin to complain about.

As for what you said being a compliment... I'll do the same for you:
I'd like to thank Annie and Dogbows for being the ONLY ex-editors here with functioning brains.

Well, there you go junior... a "constructive" statement Qyrztufre style. :)

If that is how you help people in public, maybe you should go back to PMing?

Though, again, your posting style shines through in that you are truly of no use to the general public. Yeah, yeah, you may be a fantastic editor, but you are a flaming troll with no respect for the Community you have joined here.

Scroll back up in this thread and see just where the trolling starts, you'll find, as in most cases, it starts with you.

I have respect for those that earn it, including the ex-eds I just mentioned. It is earned, not given, especially not to dilettantes who think this is a social community, not an informational forum best manned by those offering more than whine and conjecture.

If you want respect, do something worthy of it sometime. Funny how that works. ;)

Yes, funny that. Though, this is not about respect is it? It's about being helpful, which is something you've not done in this thread yet, and hardly on this forum. yeah, yeah, you've PMed someone, I forgot, yeah, that's earned.

Now why must you always go on and on about me, taking thread after thread off topic?

You say I keep bringing up the same old same old time & time again and that makes me some how less of a person, but then, you do the same thing about me. Does this mean you and I are a lot alike?

No, but even though unattainable it's nice to see your aspirations are ambitious. ;)
