Want to try LINUX be4 considering it??

Try the Linux Desktop Project....You'll have a secure connection with a REAL LINUX DESKTOP in front of you........

    Pretty Interesting :)

1 thing i noticed while using FIREFOX thru this linux client was it OPENED PAGES BE4 THINKING while most browsers THINK BE4 OPENING..... YES,pages opened slightly faster (I was surprised),but some sites didnt render properly,etc.......

I typed about:config but i couldnt remember which ones to change.......

I looked for IE but i couldnt find it :D

    Ah well :)

i tried linux. Everyone said it was great and that Unbuntu was awesome, but the stupid thing wouldn't load on my pc because it is to retarded to know what my graphics card is and im too retarded to know all the commands or whatever to get it to work.
    I gave up.
With windows I just have to put the cd in my drive and it does the rest mostly :D

Lol, I've always wanted to try out Linux - Is Ubuntu the best version? (btw Ubuntu is a Zulu word, meaning we are who we are through other people, or brotherhood, which is so awesome!)

I'm at school, so do you think it would be a good idea to change, while being on my school netowork and all? I'm using a Dell Latitude atm.

Cool, thanks for the link, it's awesome

Hmm, that's really neat. Great find, thanks!

I've been considering trying Linux out.. I'm fairly happy with Server 2003 though, I don't think I could suffer under XP again though. I'm about due for a reinstall, which is why I've been thinking about it... I never did reinstall the OS when I bought a new SATA HD, it's still on the old slow crate..

I have tried Linux several times and a few years ago I really wanted to switch from Windows. But I got disappointed every time, it just didn't work as good as I wished and everyone promised. I remember when I tried Mandrake and it froze for me two times the first hour. I just gave up, so boring.
I use Windows 2000 now by the way, I hope I don't need to change for a long time.

I also tryed Ubuntu several times. I have 2 hard drives in my desktop pc. I stuck windows on one hard drive and ubuntu on the second and used a boot loader.

It is there if i ever wanted to use it again.

I've tried them all, Suse, Red hat, Mandriva, Slackware, Debian, Corel, Ubuntu, etc..
I think Suse and Ubuntu are the best distros available now.
