    Hello,
I searched the forum and haven't found this topic, so ...

When you buy/exchange links do you take under consideration the trustrank or only pagerank?

What I mean by trustrank is (based on article from seobook.com AFAIR) the number of non-supplemental pages that are indexed in google.
I heard that it allows faster crawling of site pages, but I have no experience in this matter, that's why I ask you :)

PS. Has anyone here tried to submit page to yahoo directory (with $299) which I was told has high trustrank? Was it worth it?

I don't pay to get links from trusted site. I try to get it for free. I've heard .gov and .edu is consider by google as trusted site.

A link from a site with a high trust rank is much more important than a link with a high page rank. Thje problems becomes that there is no way of knowing what the trust rank is and pr is so easy to check.

Krzyk: You should consider all parameters, but the most important are - site age, content, outbound links (and some more). Anyway - you can check by yourself is the site worth your trust, or not :). If you use online tools to evaluate the 'trustrank' just take it easy, they can be not equally balanced.

Trust rank isn't really much to do with non supplemental pages.

To see if a site has trustrank you need to see where they rank for certain keywords.

For example the BBC can publish an article with the word "television" in the title and rank for the search term television within a few days. Thats because they are a trusted site and have lots of trustrank.

i have also heared about that. also that the .org is getting page ranks higher and faster. but i don't know it works practically or not, as i have managed a few .org backlinks but it dose not make much of a difference.

also, getting links from these sites, specially from the government sites are not easy!:(
