I'm opening a new eCommerce website and I'm looking for seals/logos to place on my site in order to make my customers feel safe and secure.

The website has SSL (bought from godaddy) and the payment is only using PayPal.

The big player is McAfee of course, but they're super-expensive. I was once quoted $1500/yr by one of their sales guys, only to be offered $950/yr a few days later. After informally polling friends of mine, I decided to go with some new company my host was promoting called SiteLock. $40/yr... It's generic but most people don't know the difference, and for a new site, that money can be better spent elsewhere.

Definitely put up a SSL seal though.

Nothing free is going to increase sales. Make sure you have your accepted payment method on every page of the site. A Verisign SSL with seal may help a bit. Same thing goes with an EV ssl. Truste and Mcaffee may help a little.

Realistically, none are going to be cost effective until you have a fair amount of visitors. I would put your money into marketing and making sure the site is very usable. Once you get good sales, you can look back into them.

The site seals which may do something:
    BBB
    Verisign
    Mcaffee
    Truste
    EV SSL (Any Brand)

Apart from these, anything else is just going to junk up the website. Even these may not provide any measurable conversion increase.

I can think of the most viewed around:
    SSL
    Mcaffee
    Verisign
    Truste

    Good Luck!

Depending on your industry, you may authorities that offer badges just for companies in your industry. For example, if you sold all Energy Star items, you can get a listing and a badge from EnergyStar.gov

    Hmm I see.

I now have SSL (standard) and Godaddy's SSL seal.
    And PayPal's "verified" seal.

What do you say about PayPal's verified seal?

I now added a "100% satisfaction guarantee" and a "30 day money back guarantee".

    Do they help?

I think about buying a 888 toll free number and placing that on the site's header next to the seals/logos.

    What do you say?

Also, how about a live chat?

The site design must be fitting. It must look professional! The seals only act to compliment the site and thus build additional confidence.
