I am curious to know why Yahoo is non-receptive to complaints about poor service by companies it so ecstatically endorses to its customers, a prime example being "TrueSwitch," which it officially directs users to for the purpose transferring emails from one Yahoo account to another. True Switch receives many complaints around the web, including mine after it turned my Yahoo accounts into spaghetti, and is non-responsive to inquiries, being only a robot program. In spite of its firm endorsement, however, Yahoo refuses to even accept any complaints or suggestions that it reconsider its enthusiastic endorsement and makes it clear it will continue to pitch this product. Is refusing to even LISTEN to complaints about its endorsement policies now a Yahoo policy? Has it always been? It strikes me as the ultimate in arrogance to continue sending its users to poor service.
Obviously money is the deal. I managed to undo the damage done by TrueSwitch and went to an outfit called YIPPIEMOVE. What a difference--all my files were transferred smoothly. Customer Service replies in a few HOURS--not days. Instead of an idiot screen that just sits and says, "No Messages," you get a real-time graph of your progress, a listing of the folders and the numbers of emails actually transferred, and the times for each. It's like night and day. In the meantime, TrueSwitch is still answering my requests from two days ago. Oh, and I'm still waiting for a refund. Thanks for the referral, Yahoo.
