Hi, I found this on Rick Whittington rickwhittington.com Website design questionnaire and it states there... Tip: Google Adwords doesn’t allow “redirects” or automatic hops from one web address to another, so you will need to pause the ads during the migration and change the URLs to match the new website after launch. Is this right or wrong? Thanks!
Hi Chickenjoy! Google does allow redirects, check this out: "If you set up tracking, you can send potential customers to specific landing page URLs that have extra information" https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/6076199?hl=en It works.
I 100% of the time use re-directs with Adwords and have for 10 years now. What has recently changed is the final URL. So your re-direct has to land on the page you say it will land on at the end of the re-direct(s). This is perhaps where the confusion came in.
Yup, True. Every business choose some marketing automation to create a customize landing page for paid campaigns. So, I agree that most of the ads are based on redirects.
