What I can say is that Spam can be funded, You can get cheap lads from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines etc. Its not necessarily that they are doing for their own stuff. I bet its like 99% of them are outsourced by other countries to do Link Building, Forum Posting, Article Submissions etc

Whether a lie is self-promotional or spam-for-pay... it's still the guy at the keyboard that chooses to be a liar, a spammer, etc.
Everyone's responsible for what they type before hitting "ENTER"... so whether a professional whore or just a slut is immaterial.

China seems to be an up and comer lately. The interesting thing about the Chinese spammers is that their English is generally very good... and they seem to be a little smarter. They aren't spamming links, they tend to jump into existing relevant conversations and talk about a product, but ultimately leave it up to the user to go Google that product.

Yes but that dosen't changes the fact that they spam and that some of us feel the urge to blast them off the Internet .

Dang... I left out the beloved UggBoot spammers? Sorry, I lost my head. Yeah... the output from the city of Putian alone is as big as a lotta countries.

Not entirely. The best solution would be knowing who you're dealing with. It's not just the country, really.

I actually like this feature. At least we know where they are from, and it is funny to found quite many member are using the fake country. It really will stop me deal with those member that use fake country

Me too. I have been buying a lot of stuff this week in the BST and have skipped a lot of peoples offers because they are faking their location. I love this new feature!

Not really. Why do we want to take the time to pick out those people? It would take to long trying to sift through them all. I just deal with people in my country and it has been working out for me and I don't have to waste time trying to figure out "who I'm dealing with", plus it's too easy for them to fake it.

A bad thing happened with me, I was in contact with a guy to post on my forum. And like when the true country got activated he didn't responded me because I am from Pakistan and he is from India and like his offer came a week back that he want to post on my web hosting related forum. I never faked my location its just I never mentioned it. There are some question that arise up that there have been lots of dealings done in past here at DP without knowing each others location, Can this sort of feature can possibly end trade amongst members of rival countries. Though I have worked with many Indian webmasters didn't had any issues in past.

Yep also there is no secret that some webmasters are xenophobic . They post threads containing the words "Indians Only !!!" in plain view . I mean I like the Apache tribe myself but I don't drum about it .

Shawn can't answer here in the thread. He went to the farm in Afghanistan himself to investigate. Please wait for his thorough report when he returns.
