Funny... these christians don't seem to be as vocal in this thread as they are in others. Wonder why that is... LOL

 

Just a guess, but likely because Helvettis threads are seldom intended for discussion... each is merely an insult aimed at whatever group he isnt a member of. A quick glance at his started threads shows a lineup aimed at Hindus, Pakis, Muslims, Christians, Americans, and various others, and the content seldom offers anything not already being discussed elsewhere.

LOL, the boy's a slow learner or he'd figure out this habit might be connected to why he's banned about every other week.

 

Whether Helvettis creates threads for discussion or not, nothing is preventing discussion occurring.

Sometimes threads are created to make a point. Sometimes a position can be successfully defeated - in this case the position that the bible is the word of god - by the virtue of the fact that you opponent is unwilling to even enter in to a discussion and defend their position, which in this case would result in them either giving him the money or admitting that particular bits of the bible, usually bits they don't already agree with, are wrong.

It's actually my favorite way of defeating a premise. Why just prove they are wrong when you can also prove that they didn't even believe they were right in the first place.

Some people have the conviction to stand by what they think regardless if it's popular or not. Strange that you should see that as a bad thing. it's called integrity. It's not for everyone though, Some people are best off selecting what views to hold and defend based on whether the rules allow it.

Judging by the responses quite a lot of so called "christians" think the bible is wrong. Interesting opinion for them to have on the "word of god" LOL.

Yes silly you.. it's called the integrity to stand by your convictions regardless if you will be 'punished" for it or not. It's actually quite courageous, but like i say, it's not for everyone.
