Trucking-50 years over the road. The next 50 years into cyberspace

Hi;
The truck stops here. I picked up my nick-name over ½ century ago "Diesel Gypsy". I have since retired after 50 years and millions of miles over the road. Retirement was a great thing when it happened, BUT did not take long to get me into trouble. My wife having been forever (almost) set in her scheduled ways while I was on the road, and after becoming a pain in the butt, she told me to get a hobby and get out from under her feet. She was the one who suggested the computer, mainly because she knew that I did not have a clue on how to type, and no one around to teach me. Her theory being, “that should keep him busy”. Of course I complied too her wishes. Since then she sometimes gets upset with me because she can’t drag me away from the machine from hell. Ha-ha, revenge can be sweet.

In the meantime, I have accidentally discovered this most informative forum. Being surrounded with all these experienced people, I cannot (should not?) fail at learning more on the building & repairing my personal web site. I am looking forward to picking as many brains as possible, --- Thanks, Diesel Gypsy.

I must say that the response to my introduction has been phenomenal, and is greatly appreciated. I do have (to me) a serious problem with my HTML work. Entering this hell hole of a totally unknown subject to me, I must therefore ask for your expertise to get my head back above water. I do not know if I will violate any forum rules by entering one of my web page links to demonstrate my problem or not, but I’ll take the chance. I guess the worst thing that could happen to me, would be that my PC will get infected by the most deadly virus yet invented. I will enter my problem in the HTML, etc., section. In the meantime, thanks again --- Diesel Gypsy.
