Hello there everyone. I recently took a full backup through Plesk of all of my websites, in preparation for a switch to cPanel 11. Once cPanel was installed, I noticed that my Plesk file isn't compatible. I'm guessing that Plesk made it so you can only restore it with Plesk, just to make sure it's convenient as possible. Anyways, is there anyone out there that has Plesk installed and would be willing to let me extract and download the backup file? I'd be forever grateful
I am having the same problem.. I have been trying to move my sites from my VPS Plesk to cpanel.. I got the back up of sites but I am not able to ytansfer them to Cpanel.. any idea ? Plesk Sux..
Sorry for bumping such an old thread, but I'm having same issue, I backed up a domain on Plesk now I need to get it into cpanel and I don't know what to do, it doesn't work, I tried unzipping the file locally but it doesn't work.
Hi, Plesk backups are simple zip files with a different extension. You should be easily able to pull out the files and data using WinZip or WinRAR. Where exactly are you running into problems?
I tried unzipping the file, but after I unzip it all I get is another file with a .41 extension, the files name is: smewebsolutions.co.uk_2008.10.23_14.41.zip, after extracting it's smewebsolutions.co.uk_2008.10.23_14.41 .
