I am fairly new to cpanel (my previous host used DirectAdmin) and can't figure out how to add a domain. With direct admin there was a button that said 'Add a domain...' but I cant seem to find one with cpanel.

    Thanks in advance.

Go to Add-On Domains. Just add the new domain, a directory will be created automatically , just enter a password & click GO.

It will be done in 5 sec . :)

But I thought that would add a domain that redirects to a sub directory :\

Well, if your account is on - domain1.com & then you add domain2.com as an add-on domain, then it will create a directory
domain2.domain1.com , which you may access by -
    domain2.com
    or domain2.domain1.com

Well, none other than creating 2 different accounts. If you host with our webhosting service , I can allow you to do that, let me know.

    Thanks
