I am having trouble getting a lot clicks on my articles. I don't know if my title is lacking or what? Do you have any any good tips for titles and also improving my resource box. Another thing, how do you attract a bunch of ezine publishers?
The only thing that I can think of is that your content must be attractive. Try not to give every information that visitors are looking for and instead make it "hanging". Then they will be tempted to follow the link to your site.
You need to distribute your article as much as possible. Don't just rely on one directory to get your traffic. Sure, you should submit to Ezine, but you should also submit to a minimum of 20 others. You should always have three links in your resource box, and you should use proper anchor text for each. Also, if possible, spin each article a little bit before you submit to the next article directory. It will help your long term rankings.
Start with your site link in your signature here at DP. Your articles need content, content, content. And yes a catchy title will help get it read. Good Pluck
your article must provide value, good content giving away good helpful advice. Your resource box must create curiosity, for somone to click on it. experiment with resource boxes often. A 10% click through rate is pretty good and you dont want to go any less than that though You usually wont see 50% often but it is possible, just make sure you have realistic expectations. 10-30% click through rate should be your goal per article. if your site converts at 3% and you get 30 visitors per article, you should expect 3-4 sales for every 5 articles you submit. submit 5 articles a day get 3-4 sales a day and you are doing better than most.
ok thanks, I am going to start using isnare and possibly articlemarker. Have you all had much success with them?
Writing articles with the intention of generating traffic requires a little strategy. Very briefly: 1. Your headline needs to be as thrilling as possible without sounding very hypey. Capture the attention of your prospects. 2. Your content/body should be very well written and offer some solution, but without giving the whole game away. 3. Your sig is key for the clickthrough - it needs to imply that the full solution can be found by clicking on the link.
As far as getting more back links to your site, iSnare is definitely worth it. I used to submit just to EA but thought I'd try iSnare one time. My article ended up getting published on over 200 sites.
In general, your headlines are important to suck your readers to read further. People will not read when they see lousy headlines. spend more time by coming up with benefit driven, news type, curiosity type of headlines. Compile a list of excellent headlines for swiping. For people to click on your resource box, give something away as incentive. A free report, e-course, or free newsletter.
