trouble using firefox

    I can't seem to get firefox (or opera for that matter) to run on my pc. Internet explorer and netscape work fine. I installed and reinstalled firefox, but each time I type in a url, it says "www.site.com cannot be found."

    Anyone know what causes this and how I can fix it?

    Are you connecting via a proxy?

    make sure your firewall (if u have one) is not blocking them from running.

    It can not be proxy problem as in that case it gives "unable to connect" (I am myself under a proxy). I think may be ur net got temporarily down :D
