Trouble Importing From Wordpress

I have a blog at wordpress.com and recently decided to self hosted the blog using my own domain using a free web hosting package. I've exported all the wordpress.com blog contents and tried to import them to my new wordpress.org blog but I failed. I keep on receiving this error message at times I tried to import the file: The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/vhosts/www.*****.***/wp-content/uploads/2010/02.

Can somebody help me to solve this problem? And FYI, I use free web hosting area.

looks like you have to set your upload folder permissions to 777. Try that and see if it works. otherwise contact your host for help.

Make that folders (2010/02) and set 777 on them. Should be fine, I've done it too for my wordpress blog and now it's ok.

If you have FTP access, you can go to the folder, right click it, and select edit permission to 777.
